THE AMERICAN LEGION RIDERS
RUN TO THE THUNDER 2021
Copyright © Fairfax VA Post 177 American Legion Riders.
It started out in 2012 as just a way to get American Legion Riders together from around the country to ride together in the annual Rolling Thunder Demonstration. It has grown into a weekend-long celebration, where ALR members have a home-base and a group to ride with during the weekend.
We start out on Friday with vendors and food, a special Friday Night Dinner and POW Ceremony, and an escorted ride to the Candlelight Vigil in DC. On Saturday, we have a very special ALR-led ceremony and wreath-laying at Arlington National Cemetery, followed by a barbecue, music, and vendors on Saturday afternoon & evening at Post 177.
We wrap things up early on Sunday morning with breakfast, a patriotic ceremony, and our
ALR "Ride to the Thunder", as we join Rolling Thunder at the Pentagon. Join your ALR friends.
NOTE: These are our normal events for a Rolling Thunder weekend. 2021 is likely to be different.
Our AGENDA will be published as soon as it is finalized.
