Mission Statement

Many American Legion Riders (ALR) have participated for years in the Annual Rolling Thunder demonstration in Washington DC.

ALR members fully support the Mission of Rolling Thunder, to publicize POW-MIA issues, to protect future Veterans, and to help American Veterans from all wars.

SITUATION: Memorial Day Weekend 2012 is the date for Rolling Thunder Weekend, and for many patriotic and veteran-themed events.  Thousands of American Legion Riders will be in the DC area to support and participate in these events.  Many American Legion Posts will have activities targeted for ALR members.  American Legion riders will ride in support of Rolling Thunder on Sunday morning.

MISSION: ALR members gather from across the Nation in Washington DC to participate in events throughout the weekend and culminate in a ride together as an organization in the Rolling Thunder demonstration on Sunday, 27 May 2012.
